Points are a way to gain things: like member of the month. If someone is nominated with 2 points and someone else is nominated with 67, nominee b will get a few extra votes. Gaining points takes activity and the rewards reflect on how well a member excells on the site.
how to get points:
- winning site contests. (5-50 points)
- filling wanted ads. (10 points)
- 1 week of getting online and posting anywhere on the site each day. (5 points)
- contributing to site discussions. (5 points)
- using them as currency for whatever you do. (how much you charge)
how to lose points:
- not being active.
- breaking rules.
rewards for points:
- 'the best'. There's always the best at everything. Your horse could be The Fastest. or The Best Fighter. or The Best Tactical Planner. etc. (100 points)
- extra voting in the awards polls. (30 points/1 extra vote)
- extra stat points for one horse. (10 points/1 stat point)
- diplomatic immunity for one week. (50 points)
- name your desire and your price; the staff will decide if it's doable.

Hmm...ok. Lets see if I can't re word it to make more sense.
Several sites have points. Generally, you get points by posting. Well...that's unoriginal and really doesn't do a very good job. Suzy may post better than Justine, but Justine has more points because she posts more often. It's really not fair. So! Here you earn points a completely different way.
There will be several site wide contests (games basically) a month. The winners of these contests will get points. How many points depends on the difficulty of the contest.
Most people post wanted ads -- they have a character that has a twin and need someone to play the twin. If you fill a wanted ad (or create the character needed) you get ten points.
If you can make one IC or OOC post every single day for 7 days (any seven days), you earn 5 points.
Each couple of weeks, a staff member will post a 'site discussion'. This could be anything excluding religion. It might be so simple as "What is your favorite color and why?" or it could be "What is your opinion of the current story; how would you change it?" If you post in said thread with any comment that pertains to the topic, you earn 5 points.
Lots of people make graphics or shipping pages or pre-made characters. Even more people want these services. Well, if you make graphics, you can charge points for them. That means that if someone wants a graphic from you, you can say "Sure, for 25 points." Once the graphic is done pm a staff member, and we'll take 25 points away from your customer and give it to you. You can charge however much you want.
That elaborated on how to get points...how to lose is below.
If you break a rule, we take points away from you.
If you aren't online at least once every three days, we take points away from you.
As for rewards, these are alot harder to explain.
In the real world, we have the Olympics. This is a competition to see who is 'The Best' at any given sport. In WoB, we are going to have 'the best' but without the competition. You can use points to buy it. There will eventually be The Best Fighter, The Best Runner, The Best Leader, The Best Tactical Planner, etc. The Best Fighter will have immunity to challenges until they turn twelve. The others have similar 'good' aspects.
The 'rewards polls' are like Member of the Month, Couple of the Month and that type of thing. Again, I like to be original, so there won't be a Couple of the Month or anything you usually see (other than MotM). I'm not sure what exactly there will be, but it will be fun. Everyone on the site will be able to vote, and everyone can vote for themself if they so wish. For 30 points, we will let you vote more than once.
Each horse has x number of stat points, depending on their age. For 10 points, a horse can have 1 extra base stat point. This means that if the horse is 1 year old, then instead of having 19 (16 base +3 for each year of age), the horse would have 20. The member can put this extra stat in any of the five stat categories: agility, stamina, speed, intelligence, and strength.
Diplomatic immunity means no horse can challenge one of your characters for 1 week. Also, your one horse cannot challenge another horse for the same time period. It's really nice for a leader of a ruling herd.
If you want something that isn't mentioned above, name it. Also, say what you think it is worth in points and the staff will review it. If it's reasonable, you get it for the price you said. If the idea is good, but we believe it is worth more or fewer points, we will post it at a better or worse price. Then it is at your discretion as to whether you still get it.
