the Pond is between the Pointe and the Marsh. there's only ducks present in the summer, but the place is still pretty, and it's decent drinking water, fed from an underground spring.

NORTHERN POINTE
the Pointe looks a bit like a bird's talons reaching out into the sea on the north side of the island. in the coldest of winter, the ocean here freezes over, allowing horses to cross over to the mainland, but it is only like this for a few days out of the year. this is generally where new horses are claimed.
