Because every horse, most likely, is going to fight, I've devised a way to make judging fights easier. At birth, a horse starts out with 16 points. Every ic year thereafter adds 3 points. When a horse is eleven years old, every stat is negated by 1. At 12, every stat except intelligence takes 2 off. At 13+, every state is negated 15%. You can place added stats in any of the following as long as every field has at least one point: intelligence;; a horse with a higher intellect will be able to devise plans and manipulate others, but might not be able to carry them out. strength;; higher strength generally leads to better fighting skills. agility;; a larger horse will not have as much agility as a smaller horse. stamina;; the longer he can go, the better it will be. speed;; the faster the horse, the better the skills. Mostly, the only time these stats will be looked at is during fights that staff have to moderate. However, if it's seen that a horse has a 2 in stamina and managed to run the length of Decessus in 13 days, there's going to be a problem.
Example:
Horsay (age: 6 | stallion)
- int: 12
- str: 6
- agi: 4
- sta: 10
- spe: 2
Horsbee (age: 2 | mare)
- int: 3
- str: 7
- agi: 2
- sta: 3
- spe: 7
Lets say that Horsay has horrid writing, never spellchecks, that sort of thing, and Horsebee has perfect. Also, Horsay has an injury that keeps him from moving very fast. Not only did that hit his agility stat, but it also makes it harder to win against a much younger (though much less experienced mare).
Now. If there was no thread for this fight, the mare would win. She may not be as smart and thoughtful as her opponant, but her fighting stats far exceed his.
If there was a thread, and Horsebee intentionally loses, then Horseay would win the battle.
If this doesn't make any sense to you, that's ok. I'll try to explain it better eventually, but it is a brand new and slightly rough idea.
